Mary Ann (Cary) Rooks was born on 27 Apr 1854 in Pennsylvania, Verenigde Staten van Amerika.

Mary married Gerrit David Rooks (born on 6 Jan 1851 in Macon, Missouri, Verenigde Staten van Amerika; son of Gerrit Jan Rooks and Hettie (Mote) Rooks) in 1875. Their known son was Russell Rooks (1889–1972).
