Antonina's baptismal record is not highly legible, especially the father's name, which looks like it has been corrected from Castro. These baptismal records, unlike ones from the 1890s, do not include in the formulation, the word for the sex of the infant (no infantem marem or infantem feminam to distinguish) so it's also more difficult to tell in some cases, Antonino from Antonina, especially by their Latin equivalents. In the index, Antonina appears as Antoninus, and the last name is more clearly Cascio. Her baptismal name appears to be in the feminine: Antoninam, not Antoninum. She is the daughter of Antonino Cascio and Rosolia Penzato, born 24 August 1868 and baptized the next day, Antoninam. Her godparents are Rosarius Sciacchitano and Lucia, his unmarried daughter.
Antonino, the father, dies 12 February 1869.
Antonina dies on 13 December 1869, at a year and four months of age. The record of her death is clearly for a masculine infant. It is common for the death records of infants to make this error. However, based on the ambiguity around the baptismal record, it's possible this was a son. In either case, it's not clear who the child was named after. Her father dies after her birth, but before her death.
