Biography

He is likely the son of Anthony "Teunis" Case (aka Kaes) and his wife Eva Catherine, both late of Hunterdon, New Jersey as he is mentioned in the WILL of the elder Anthony Case[1]. He is noted in his father-in-law's WILL[2]. His estate was inventoried in October of 1774[3].

This researcher is unsure if he had more than one child. The eldest child is named Anthony 'Teunis" Case (b. 1761, d. 1846). Another very respected researcher of Hunterdon County, New Jersey believes that he may have had at least two more children[4]: a Jacob Case Jr, and a Catherine Case (where that researcher gives no dates). Additionally, an 1806 deed presents other heirs of Jacob Case (see mother's bio for updated data).

"I am not certain who the husband of Mary Servis Case was, but about 1800, Isaac Servis married Catharine Case, probably the daughter of Jacob Case (c.1740-c.1774) and Catharine Housel. It is quite possible that Mary Servis married Catharine’s brother Jacob Case Jr., but I have no proof of that.
In 1806, Tunis Case, eldest son and heir of Jacob Case, sold part of the Case plantation.."
