Biography

William Lawrence Casey, 75, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006. He was born February 17, 1931 to William and Hildreth (Bowers) Casey in Chicago, IL. He joined the US Navy March 26, 1951. William and Margaret M. Fitzgerald were married in 1959. They moved their family to Tulsa in November 1976. After over thirty years of dedicated service, he retired from UNISYS, he went to Manager of Customer Engineering for this region. Following his retirement from UNISYS, he went to work for Jenks Public Schools in the print shop, doing what he enjoyed as a hobby many years prior. Bill was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church, and enjoyed his many years of active membership with the American Turf Flyers and the Tulsa Gluedobbers building and flying model airplanes, and the Tulsa Hamm Radio/Repeaters Club learning amateur short wave radio communications. Bill loved his family, flying model airplanes, going to the lake with his sons, and growing his engraving hobby into a small business. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret; sons and their families, Bill and Lois Casey of Jenks (children: Teri and Michael), Ken and Suzi Casey of Owasso (children: Daniel and Matthew), Tom and Shanan Casey of Tulsa (children: Christopher, Lauren, and Matthew), and Ted and Stacy Casey of Jenks (daughter: Reece); brothers, John Casey and his wife Gundrun of Virginia, and James Casey and his wife Lynn of Arizona. The family would like to thank the Church of Saint Bernard, Grace Living Center in Jenks and Good Shepherd Hospice for their heartfelt caring and loving support. Rev. Archie Fernandez, Presiding -- Entrance Procession: Be Not Afraid; Responsorial Psalm: Shepherd Me, O God; Preparation of the Altar and Gifts : How Great Thou Art Communion Hymn: You Are Near; Final Commendation: Saints of God; Closing Hymn: On Eagle's Wings. Found the memorial program from the Moore Funeral Home. Service - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2993 Moore Southlawn Chapel; Interment: Calvary Cemetery; Pallbearers were his two brothers (John and James) and four sons: John Casey, James Casey, Bill Casey, Ken Casey, Tom Casey, and Ted Casey.
