Biography

Denis Casey was born 25 Dec 1872, and baptized 26 Dec 1872 in Dromod, child of Patrick Casey and Joanna Clifford of Scariff. Sponsored by: John Clifford, Hanora Clifford.^[1]

Denis Casey appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 26 in Murreagh, Emlagh, Kerry, age 28, born Co Kerry, occupation national teacher, as son to Patrick Casey.^[2]

On 25 Apr 1903 at St Finian Spunkane in the Registrar's District of Emlagh and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Denis Casey, full age, a bachelor and Asseant Teacher of Murreigh, son of Patrick Casey, labourer, and Julia Moran, full age, a spinster and -- of Scariff, daughter of Patrick Moran, labourer, witnessed by Patrick Casey, Nora Casey.^[3]
