Eunice Casey was born July 7, 1745, in Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island, a daughter of Edward Casey and Hannah Bowen. [1] In 1763, Eunice married Nehemiah Potter, [2]
At the onset of the American Revolutionary War, Nehemiah enlisted as a Private in Captain Samuel Wall's company of the Rhode Island Militia. He advanced to Sergeant, under the command of Colonel Archibald Kasson and Colonel Waterman. Nehemiah is honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution as DAR Ancestor #A091736. Descendants of this family are eligible to join the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. [3]
Eunice (Casey) Potter died in 1791 and is buried in the Nehemiah Potter Lot, in Scituate, Rhode Island, After her death, her husband married, secondly, Rhoda Castel. [4]
