one of the triplets ..... only she and Doodie survived; Hilda died at birth.

May had a son, Johnnie Casford b.1916 ; and he was raised by his grandparents, Gertrude (Casford ) and William Hillier. May married Raymond Cordeau of St.Pierre,French Island near Newfoundland. Ray & May had one son, Freddy Cordeau, who died as an infant. May's son, Johnnie Casford, died August 22, 1931 aged 15. He was hit by a drunk driver, while riding his bicycle home from Boy Scouts. It was noted in the Maple Leaf,Oakland,California, that he had a fractured skull as a result of the accident. Johnnie is buried in Peoples Cemetery, with his grandparents, George and Fannie Casford. Johnnie's signature is in my grandmother's Family Bible. May's sister, my grandmother, Gertrude , told my mother, Elaine, that Johnnie was a very good boy and was very polite and kind.
