Biography
The son of Charles Eugène Casgrain (1800-1848) and Élise-Anne Baby (1803-1890), William was born in Québec in 1837. William migrated to the United States, marrying [[Van Dyke-1220|Marie (Van Dyke) Casgrain around 1869. A civil engineer, he worked for a time in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[1][2] Their children included:
Marian Casgrain (1869-bef. 1900)
George Desnoyers Casgrain (1870-)
Victoire Elizabeth Casgrain (1872-)
Queen Casgrain (1873-bef. 1900)
William passed away in Chicago on September 27, 1900.[3]
