Named as an heir in her father's Will, which states: "I will to my daughter Susannah Adcock the Negro Tom now in her possession also the feather bed and horse I gave her to her and her heirs forever and no more of that part of my personal estate unless there be a part still remaining after each of my other children’s parts and made equal to her part in that case she is to take her agreed portion of that surplus with the other children."
She married Joseph Adcock, who is present in court when the Will was presented for probate and he respresented her interests when the Heirs of Seth Cason disputed division of their father's estate and filed a suit in chancery in Prince Edward County against the Executors of the Estate of Seth Cason, Sr., which included brother, John Cason as a defendant. Division of the estate was decided by the court, generally as directed in the Will.
