Elizabeth Jany Cass (aka "Cast") was born around 1776 in Iredell County, North Carolina, USA. She was the daughter of James Cass and Nancy Moody. [1]
She married Ebenezer Jones, Jr. in 1799 in Iredell County, North Carolina. Later the family moved to White County, Tennessee. She was the mother of 20 children between 1800 and 1825; some were born in North Carolina and the latter ones in White County, Tennessee.
She passed away in April 1860 either on her family's farm in White County or in McMinnville, Warren County, Tennessee, USA. Her exact burial site is not known. These are adjacent counties of Eastern Tennessee and their boundaries changed in the 19th-20th Centuries, making it impossible to know for certain which county "Betty Jany" (Cass) Jones died in.[2]
Her death Information is mixed as White County (Sparta) TN & neighboring Warren County (McMinnville) TN, as time has advanced parts of each county have overlapped and since the burial information is unknown as well as addresses at this time, it cannot be confirmed as which is correct as either could be correct location. Several boundaries are shared between the counties.
