Biography

He passed away in 1825. Father was possibly James Casseday/Cassaday (1740-1825).

James was the son of James and Charity Casseday. He is reported to have married first to Sarah Barbour, and second to Ruth Barbour, with whom he had six and four children, respectively. He married third to Louisa Ledden, with whom he had the two sons linked below, born in 1816 and 1818.

He died before 28 Feb. 1825, a resident of Franklin Twp., Gloucester Co., NJ, based on estate records. His lands were subsequently divided by his many children.

  • Charles A. CASSADAY - b. 1800 in Hardingville and d. 1841. Married Mary E. AYERS in 1828 in Pitts. Township. Mary was b. 1800 and d. 1868.[2]

  • William Garwood Casady 1816–1880
  • Abraham Ledden Casady 1818–1893
