Finding about 1,500 acres of extra undivided lands, they divided it into lots and alloted it to the original 1723 patentees' heirs or assignees. Since very few deeds had been recorded, the Commissioners asked everyone to produce their titles/deeds in order to determine the present 1792 owners.
