Biography
In June of 1900, Mary (Cassidy) McDonnell, wife of James McDonnell, was enumerated in Newburgh Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio in the United States. She was reported to be age 41, born in Ireland circa July 1858. Mary came to the U.S. in 1880 - 20 years previously - and had been married 17 years. Therefore, James and Mary were married in the USA. In 1900, Mary had all 5 of her 5 children still living. [1] If her birth date was really 20 May 1858, then she may have been baptized in July of 1858.
Mary A. McDonnell is buried with her husband in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. The FAG memorial gave her date of death as 19 May 1939 with no source. Could that have been her burial date? [2]
