Walter Leonard Casteel was born on November 17, 1871 in Hunt, Texas, United States, son of Shadrack Monroe Casteel (1838–1903) and Alice Keller Ragland (~1848–~1876).[1]
In 1880, Walter (8) Castell was in the household of Shadrack Castell in Justice Precinct 6, Hunt, Texas. [2]
Walter (26) married Jettie Hinton (17) (born on January 29, 1880 in Hunt; daughter of James Henry Polk Hinton and Christian Elizabeth (Scott) Hinton) about 1898 in Texas.
In 1910, Walter L (38) Custeel was living in Justice Precinct 4, Dimmit, Texas. [3]
In 1920, W J and Jettae Casteel were living in Jackson, Oklahoma. [4]
In 1930, Walter L (58) was living in Martha, Jackson, Oklahoma. [5]
In 1940, Tobe and Jettie Casteel were living in Quartz Township, Greer, Oklahoma.[6]
Walter died in March, 1943 in Jackson, Oklahoma, aged 71. He was buried in Blair Cemetery, Blair, Jackson County, Oklahoma.[1]
