Biography

Nathan was born about 1796, the son of Robert Casteel and Catherine (Harty) Casteel. In 1820, he was farming in Ohio Township, Clermont County, Ohio. He was married and had one child, a daughter, under age 10.[1] By 1830, Nathan had relocated to Fountain County, Indiana, with other family members. His household consisted of himself (b 1791-1800), his presumed wife (b 1791-1800), two sons and a daughter born 1821-1825, and one son and one daughter born 1816-1820.[2] Brother George appears on the same census sheet.

Cassteel-1 and Casteel-24 appear to represent the same person because: Obviously the same person, with surname difference probably a typo. CASTEEL is correct spelling for family. Both appear to be abandoned profiles created long ago by GED import,
