Biography

Paul was born in 1788, the son of Jean Augustin Castonguay and Angélique Pelletier. His last name, and that of his children are spelled either Castonguay or Gastonguay, so that first spelling at their baptismal records is the one being shown. He married Charlotte Michaud at age 29, and was 54 when she died. Paul never remarried, and passed away in 1872 at 83 years old.
