I think his wife was Elisabeth or Elizabeth Messersmith, but Wiki-Tree has her as a wife of a John or two Johns.... She is listed twice.

Since they are not ancestors or close relatives of mine, I do not feel I have the right to argue against the other profiles with her on them. They have her as husband to a John. I have her as a mother to a John.
