Australian Army chaplains have served beside Aussie troops in many of the 30-odd peacekeeping missions around the globe since 1947, especially the missions that have involved larger forces, such as, East Timor / Timor Leste, Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as Namibia, Somalia, Rwanda, Cambodia, Bougainville and the Solomon Islands.
