English: Bács-Kiskun County Hungarian: Bács-Kiskun megye
A modern Magyarország 20 közigazgatási területének egyike. Székhelye Kecskemét.
One of the 20 administrative regions, called counties, of modern Hungary. Kecskemét is the county seat.
It was created in the county re-organization of 1950 out of the remnants of the pre-Trianon Bács-Bodrog county and the southern half of the old Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun county. The northern half of the latter became simply Pest county (which is notable for not participating in the records-conservation agreement with FamilySearch, meaning that its civil registers are not online.)
