Medieval Barber Surgeons performed surgical procedures from bloodletting, enemas and tooth extractions to amputations of limbs. Barber Surgeons had a tool kit including razors, scissors and scalpels. People also went to the barber surgeon for personal hygiene such as hair cuts and shaves.
