Category: Died in Military Service

Categories: Roll of Honor

This is a high level category. Please do not add individual profiles. Add profiles to the narrowest category possible. See How to Categorize.

This category is to honour and remember all the Military Personnel who died fighting for their countries but were not Killed in Action;

  1. the ones that went missing never to be found and were declared dead,
  2. the ones that were accidentally killed (in training, etc.)
  3. the ones that died non battle (DNB designation)

. . . these are the Military Personnel that should not have Killed in Action after their names.

We recently added a new set of categories to separate them from the generic Died in Military Service:

  1. Died While Prisoner of War
  2. Died of Wounds
  3. Died of Disease

This category is managed by the Military and War Project in association with the Categorization Project. For assistance with this or related categories ask in G2G making sure to tag your question with both categorization and Military_and_War.
