Note: this category is a high level category and should not be used on profiles. It is preferred that all profiles contained in the project be designated to a specific location for the benefit of correctly identifying family lines. There are three location levels currently used in this Name Study:
- Country level: Since the primary focus of this study deals with the United States then all other countries should use this level:
- Canada, England & Germany have been added. Other countries will be added as the need arises.
- State level has been added for the United States on an as needed only basis. If the need develops other countries can have this intermediate level added.
- County levels will be added whenever the need arises.
