The family of Schlippenbach are a Baltic-German noble house of Westphalian origins, attested from the fourteenth century. Branches of the family were matriculated into the Baltic-German Ritterschaften, introduced into the Swedish nobility, and served in the services of Prussia, Spain, and other European states.
