Richard KINMAN was born about 1591, probably in Cow Honeybourne, Worcestershire. He is believed to have moved to London from Worcestershire in the early 1600s, possibly with the disaproval of his father.
The link is made because of the marriage record of this Richard's son, referred to as being Kinman als Hodges. The Kinman als Hodges family were well established in Cow Honeybourne in Worcestershire at that time.
In his will of 1630, Henry Kinman als Hodges left most of his possessions to his children still living in the area. His son Richard is largely disinherited, being left a very pointed twelve pence.
There is a y-DNA project dedicated to the Kinman surname, details of which can be found on the Kin(g)(s)man Family website
