KwaZulu-Natal (Afrikaans: die tuin provinsie; Zulu: iKwaZulu-Natali; Xhosa: KwaZulu-Natal) is a province of South Africa that was created in 1994 when the Zulu bantustan of KwaZulu and Natal Province were merged. Its capital is Pietermaritzburg and its largest city is Durban.


KwaZulu-Natal, also known as KZN or Natal, is a province in South Africa. After the end of apartheid in 1994, the province of Natal and the homeland of KwaZulu were combined to form KwaZulu-Natal.
