In human genetics, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) haplogroups are defined using differences from the revised Cambridge Reference Sequence (rCRS) or the newer Reconstructed Sapiens Reference Sequence (RSRS). They represent branches of human genetic diversity based on single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on mtDNA. More informtion on the rCRS and RSRS.

- FTDNA's Public mtDNA Haplotree - maintained by Family Tree DNA, based on PhyloTree
