Thomas Franklin Norman is the earliest verified ancestor. He was born in 1837 in either Alabama or South Carolina (from census records later in his life and for his children). He recorded much information in the Family Bible. His last known entry is in Montague, Texas in 1885. I believe he died in 1887 in Texas, but do not have any information to track this down further.
