Penobscot Association Loyalists

Some American Loyalists emigrated to Saint Croix during the American Revolution. There, they formed the Penobscot Association Loyalists. Afterward, several hundred members received land on the east side of the St. Croix river under the Penobscot Association Grant. This tract of land reached from St. Andrews to St. Stephens, inclusive.
