The Province of Carolina existed from 1629–1712.

It was succeeded by Province of North Carolina (1712-1776), and then the State of North Carolina (1776-Present); and the Province of South Carolina (1712-1776) and then South Carolina (1776-Present)

The Province of Carolina was an English (1629-1707) and later a British (1702-1712) colony. Carolina expanded south, and at its greatest extent, included the modern states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi, as well as parts of modern Florida and Louisiana.
