Québec is a province in east-central Canada. It is the only province in Canada that is predominantly French-speaking, and has French as its only official language. It is the largest province (though the territory of Nunavut is larger), and the second most populous province after Ontario.

Québec was one of the first four provinces that were created at Confederation on 1 July 1867, along with Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

Note: People and sub-categories for those who lived in this area before 1867 should be placed in other categories, since the category structure is divided by era.
