RMS Queen Elizabeth (1938) was the sister ship of the RMS Queen Mary (1934). After being retired from service as a transatlantic liner, she was bought and taken to Hong Kong. Within a year there was a fire on board and she sank in Hong Kong Harbour. The location of the sinking is now under a land reclamation scheme at the Tsing Yi Container Terminal.
