Categories for the religious orders to which people belong are grouped here. As used on Wikitree, the term "religious orders" is a broad one encompassing any form of society of people connected with a particular religion or spiritual tradition including military orders of a church. The members often take some sort of vow of service to their church, religion or spiritual tradition. Members of religious orders often, but not always, live in monasteries, convents, abbeys or priories which are grouped under Category: Monasteries, Abbeys, Convents and Priories.
