All descendants welcome (FamilyFinder test for all) but we particular welcome Runciman males who can test yDNA (y67 preferred) to represent their as yet unrepresented line, or are distant cousins of existing participants and can thus, hopefully, confirm the DNA signature for their line.
As an occupational surname we did not expect to find m/any connections between tested Runciman lines.
Four of the reasonably researched lines however came up trumps as connected, and are now numbered as :
- lineage 1a - the Wanton Walls line
- lineage 1b - the William of Crail line
- lineage 1c - line of Sir Walter Runciman
- lineage 1d - the Meikle Pinkerton line
