Sacred Harp is a shape note tradition of non-denominational community singing that originated in 18th century New England singing schools, and was perpetuated in the American South before it spread internationally.

The name is derived from The Sacred Harp, a historically important tunebook printed in shape notes, which was first published in 1844, and is still in use today.

This category is suitable for composers, lyricists, compilers, publishers, scholars, teachers, and prominent singers of Sacred Harp music.
