Swedenborgianism is a Christian religious tradition that includes several historically related Christian denominations. Swedenborgianism developed as a new religious movement inspired by the writings of Swedish scientist and theologian Emanuel Swedenborg (died 1772).

Note: The Swedenborgian church in the United Kingdom, founded in 1789, is the General Conference of the New Church, but this may not be its original name. See https://www.generalconference.org.uk
