Taranaki Region
Taranaki is a region in the west of New Zealand's North Island. It is named for the region's main geographical feature, Mount Taranaki.
The Region of Taranaki is divided into three administrative areas
- New Plymouth District
- South Taranaki District
- Stratford District (which is divided between the Manawatū-Whanganui region (31.87% of its land area) and the Taranaki region (68.13% of its land area)
