In 1747, around age 29, Joseph married Elizabeth _______ somewhere in England.
Joseph Tebbut, b in Wales; d at Addison before 25 Sep 1804 [when his widow relinquished admin. of his estate]; came from London, England, to Falmouth, Maine, c1755 with a family of 5 sons {3 of whom later drowned] and 3 daughters [papers of Enoch Lincoln Tabbutt]; served with Capt. James Mill'Co. of Militia at Falmouth in 1757; settled between 1764 {when he was listed among grantees for land east of Union River} and 1769 {when he was a member of the Subscriber's Committee that accepted Daniel Merritt's layout of lots at Pleasant River} at "Moose Neck" {South Addison}
They arrived with 8 children and had a total of "at least" 12 although only 5 names are known.
Joseph Tabbutt, Jr. was born in London(?), England 1748-1833. (Pg 532)
The other 4 known names were born in Maine.
Elizabeth's last name is unknown but Crockett and Hussey have been ruled out due to conflicts.
G2G post https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/605435/joseph-and-elizabeth-where-were-they-then-tibbetts-brickwall has a reference to an Elisabeth Francis and another reference to an Ann Tibbit with later marrying Elizabeth Francis but no links and I can't find it.
