- Note: Unlike most projects, which have only project-managed profiles in their maintenance categories, the United States subprojects have both project-managed profiles and, in the case of Project:Virginia, profiles for anyone connected to Virginia that someone has added a template or category to (e.g., {{Unsourced|Virginia}} & "needs" maintenance categories by location, such as Category: Virginia Needs Birth Record, Category: Virginia Needs Marriage Record, and Category: Virginia Needs Death Record). These needs categories are not supported by the project box's "needs" parameters and the categories are not restricted to project-managed profiles. They are included under this category for convenience.
