1855 'Advertising', The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957), 11 January, p. 1. , viewed 23 Nov 2023, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article4802962 FOR Sale.—The new and fast-sailing clipper brig WILD WAVE, 179 tons register, N.M., 268 O.M., launched in the month of July, 1854, and just arrived from Guernsey, having made the passage out in eighty-one days—the quickest passage on record from the English Channel, taking into consideration her tonnage and being deeply laden. This vessel has been well and faithfully built, under the inspection of Lloyd's Surveyors; her cabin accommodation is very superior; and she is well found in every respect. The inventory can be seen, and further particulars obtained, on application to Captain DAY, on board the brig, off the Railway Jetty, Sandridge; or to W. H. and G. FREER, Elizabeth-street north, Melbourne, January 10, 1855. 485 jan 23 alt
