Charles was only two when he lost 7 siblings and his mother to Diphtheria in 1862. His sister Virginia who also survived, eventually married Robert Martin Butner. She named her only son George Clark Butner. Robert Martin Butner's brother Stephen married Alice Louthian, the sister of this Charles Clark Catron's wife, Mary.

His sister Margaret Elizabeth Catron Lindsey (41408716) was married to William T. Lindsey when she died two days after her mother, Polly Catron. Charles Clark also had a younger brother Jacob who was born June 11 1859, not much is known at this time of him.
