Biography

Silas Emmett (or Emmitt) Causey was born on 29 July 1881, in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, the son of Walter Scott Causey and Martha Jane Rigsby.

In 1900, Silas was living in Justice Precincts 2-3, Medina, Texas, and working as a servant for Joseph Short, a stock raiser:

Silas married Annie Morgenstern on 7 December 1904 in Bandera, Texas [2]

In 1910 the family were living in Justice Precinct 4, Zavala, Texas, United States:
