Jane Campbell Cave was born on 07 Jun 1865[1] in Upper Coldstream, New South Wales, Australia as the first child of John Cave and Margaret Thompson. She died on 28 Nov 1946[2] in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. When she was 18, she married Charles Arthur Fernance, son of Joseph Fernance and Emily Baker, on 12 Jun 1883[3] in Ulmarra, New South Wales, Australia.

OBITUARY
MRS. J. C. FERNANCE
The death occurred at Mullumbimby of Mrs Jane Campbell Fernance, a relict of the late Charles Arthur Fernance, at the age of 81 years. Mrs Fernance was a native of the Clarence, where most of her early life was spent. After her marriage, she came to Wardell and then to Bungawalbyn. After a short residence there, the family moved to Fernleigh, where they lived for 11½ years. Thirty-five years ago, Mrs Fernance, with her family, came to Main Arm, Mullumbimby, where her late husband purchased a property and engaged in dairying. After a residence of nine years on Main Arm, Mr and Mrs Fernance came to Mullumbimby to live in retirement.
Eleven years ago, her husband predeceased her. Mrs Fernance was devoted to her church and also supported the various organisations in Mullumbimby, especially throughout the war period. She was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. Surviving members of the family are Messrs. Arthur (Willoughby), Bert (Grafton) and Roy Fernance (Main Arm), sons and Mrs Bourne (Tintenbar) and Mrs Horsch (Brisbane), daughters. One daughter predeceased her. Burial was made in the Methodist portion of the Mullumbimby cemetery following a service in the Mullumbimby Methodist Church conducted by Rev. S. C. Quarmby. Pall-bearers were Messrs. Bert and Roy Fernance (sons), Mervyn and Charles Bourne (grandsons), Harold Fernance (nephew) and Ivor Blanch (grandson). The wreaths were carried by Messrs. J. Wingfield and N. Fernance.
