He was married in about 1720 to Hannah Bledsoe. the daughter of Wm Bledsoe & Anna Golsen Children were Wm Cave, John, Benjamin JR, Nancy Ann, David, Sarah, Hannah & Richard Cave Ben was a Vestryman of St Marks Perish of Cuppeper Co Va. 1731 to 1740. Also St. Thomas parish which was in Orange CO Va. 1749-1762( Included Pine Stake Church & Cemetery) where he & his wife are buried.) Plaque in Church honoring him. He was elected to the House of Burges & was appointed as Sheriff of Orange CO Va. Also a Justice.
