Biography

Brian Cave, Esq aka Bryan

Brian was the seventh son of Richard Cave Esq. of Stanford, by his second wife, Margaret Saxby.[1] He was born c. 1525 at Stanford Hall, Northamptonshire, England. His birth date is a guess, based on the birth date of his second son, Henry, born c. 1552.
The Birth Date is a rough estimate. See the text for details.

Brian married twice.

  • He married, as his 1st, to Margaret Throckmorton, daughter of Sir George

Throckmorton Kt. and Catherine Vaux, daughter of Nicholas Lord Vaux.[1] Margaret was the mother of all his children.

  • He married, as his 2nd, to Bridget Skipwith, daughter of Sir William Skipwith and Alice Dymoke.[1]
