Biography

Annie Rebecca Cave's parents were Margaret Jane and Matthew Beck Cave.

In 1907 Annie cave married Bill Scott in Eltham Taranaki. Bill and Annie moved to Hamilton where Bill set up in business with his father-in-law as Scott & Cave Contractors in Hardley Street, Hamilton.

Ron was buried here following his motorcycle accident in 1930; Annie’s ashes were placed here following her death in 1954; and Doug’s name has been included in the memorial in commemoration of his death in a Beaufort Bomber over France on the 17th July 1941; Doug is buried in Escoublac-La-Baule War Cemetery, St.Nazaire France (grave 1.C.20).
