Biography

I remember hearing my grandmother saying that my Uncle Tom was so beautiful as a baby she was afraid he was fey. I was only seven or eight at the time and the word 'fey' drove me to our big Websters Dictionary. I struggled to find the spelling, as I supposed it would be spelled with an 'a'. But she was using it in the old English sense; ‘fated to die soon’.
