Biography

Hugh Edward Cayley was born in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu on 8 July 1910. He was educated at Clifton College and Wye Agricultural College. During World War 2 he served as a captain in the Royal Engineers, spending part of the War in Iran, where he married Lilian George in Teheran. He died in Kensington and Chelsea, London, England in 1986.
