In early 1802 he visited his uncle Thomas Brown on Caicos. In 1805 he went with his brother Thomas Cayley and his uncle Thomas Brown to St Vincent, acting there as attorney for Thomas Brown.[1] He became a banker based in Stamford, Lincolnshire.[2][3]
