Edith was the daughter of George Cayley and Margaret Paul. She was baptised at All Saints, Stamford on 26 June 1864.[1]
The 1871 census lists Edith, age 6, in her parents' household at Stamford, which is given as her birthplace.[2] The 1881 census lists her boarding at school in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.[3] The marriage was registered Stamford, Liundolnshire in the 4th quarter of 1891.[4]
On 19 December 1891 Edith married Julian Edward Bellamy.[5] The marriage was registered at Stamford, Lincolnshire in the 4th quarter of 1891.[6]
The 1911 census lists Edith in the St George Hanover Square district of London, age 46, born Stamford. Husband Julian Edward, 45, barrister, born Peshawar, North-West Province, India. Mother-in-law Mary Ellen Bellamy, 72, born Rishworth, Yorkshire. Daughter Mary Annette Edith, 15, born London.[7]
Edith died on 22 June 1935.[8] Probate was granted in her estate on 31 August 1935, with her death date given as 22 June 1935.[9]
