Biography

Edward Cayley was born on 15 June 1829 in Stamford, Lincolnshire, England, and baptised at All Saints, Stamford that year.[1] He was educated at Stamford School and St John's College, Cambridge.

He was ordained deacon in 1855 and priest in 1856. He held a curacy at Fallington, Lincolnshire from 1858-61 and at Brinsley, Nottinghamshire from 1862 to 1867. From 1867 to 1885 he was vicar of South Leverton, Nottinghamshire. In 1888 he moved to London.

He died in London on 5 Dec 1908.
